Lastly

So Chelsea is leaving tomorrow for Japan. Her flight takes off from the Shreveport Airport at 8:50am and she is not ready to go. She is thrilled to she her husband that she hasn't seen since September, but not ready to leave her friends and family. Monday night we went to 318Live and then to Newks for a late meal. Afterwards we had a long talk and gave each other encouragment for the months ahead. She is such a good friend and I am so excited for her to finally be with Andy, her husband. He's a good friend of mine as well and a great man of God. Wow, I just can't believe she's actually leaving! She'll be back soon though. Sadly, he's deploying in November and she'll come back home to finish her teaching degree. So for right now its just a few months apart from her and then, after that, who knows how long. Please lift them up in your prayers and pray that they are kept safe. Thanks everyone, it was nice talking with you, bye!

  1. Are you going to visit her this summer? Is she nervous about going to Japan with all the problems that are currently going on over there? I hope that her trip is safe, I know she will be so very happy to be reunited with her hubby!! By the way, how was your weekend?

  2. Hey EC, sadly I won't be visiting her this summer but more than likely she'll be coming back here. A mutual friend of ours is getting married and Chelsea is a bridesmaid. She's not 100% sure if she'll come back to participate but pretty sure she is. With the problems in Japan she is worried but knows that whatever happens, good or bad, she'll be ok. She has God on her side and if He decides to take them home early she'll be ready. She is very excited to be with Andy and I'm happy for her. She actually leaves in about 20 minutes!...Oh and my weekend was good! It was so pretty outside, so I really enjoyed it. Yours?

  3. Mine weekend was really uneventful. I did some school work and tried to relax from the work week. I intended to do some yard work but I didn't get around to it, lol. What did you guys do at 318 Live Monday night? Did you go to church Sunday?

  4. Hey EC, 318 was great. We had amazing worship and great word from a guest speaker. And yes I did go to church on Sunday. It was my Sunday to teach Sunday school, which is always fun. Plus I got to go to lunch with my grandparents, which was a treat as well!

  5. I couldn't imagine having to be away from my spouse like that and knowing it will happen again very soon. I will definitely be praying for them!
